Social Security Disability Process
If you have a condition or conditions that keeps you from working and is expected to last for 12 months or more, then you could be eligible for SSDI, SSI, DAC, or DWB benefits. In general, you must not be engaging in substantial gainful activity, the condition or conditions must be severe, prevent you from performing your past work, and in certain circumstances also prevent you from performing other work. A child under the age of 18 may also qualify for SSI benefits if he or she suffers from a condition or conditions that are equivalent to a condition that is disabiling to adults.
The Social Security Disability process is governed by a set of rules and regulations just as is the criminal code. You would want a criminal attorney familiar with criminal laws to represent you if you were charged with a crime; in the same respect, you need a Social Security attorney to represent you in your claim for disability benefits.
Dax J. Lonetto, Sr., PLLC will guide and counsel you in completing forms, meeting deadlines, and will prepare your claim in a manner that presents your case in the most favorable way to the Social Security Administration. Dax J. Lonetto, Sr, Esq. has been representing individuals in claims for disability before the Social Security Administration since 2007. As a member of NOSSCR (the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives), he keeps abreast of changes in the laws that affect Social Security claimants and attends continuing education seminars.
The Social Security Disability process can takes years. Let Dax J. Lonetto, Sr., PLLC be your guide through this maze of governmental red tape. Dax J. Lonetto, Sr., PLLC handles cases from the initial application, reconsideration, hearing, Appeals Council, and federal court levels. Don’t be fooled by other firms or advocates who either send non-attorneys to your hearings or who do not speak to you until the day of your hearing. Dax J. Lonetto, Sr., Esq. is an attorney admitted to the Florida Bar, and he will handle your entire case with the help of his support staff.
Veteran's Disability Process
If you are a veteran who either sustained an injury or incurred a disease in service or had a preexisting condition aggravated in service, are totally disabled due to a condition or conditions incurred out of service, are the widow or dependent of a veteran who died as a result of an injury or condition incurred in service, or require the assistance of another within your home, then you may be entitled to benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA).
The Veteran’s Disability process is long, confusing, and governed by a multitude of rules and regulations. It often takes multiple years before a veteran or their family members receive the benefits to which they are entitled. Dax J. Lonetto, Sr., PLLC can help you through the maze of forms, ensure all deadlines are met, and prepare your claim to present to the DVA in the most favorable manner. Dax J. Lonetto, Sr., PLLC has the experience to deal with the DVA and frame your case in way that makes it easy for the personnel at the DVA to review and decide. Dax J. Lonetto, Sr., Esq. is a member of the NOVA (the National Organization of Veterans Advocates) and as such, he keeps abreast of changes in the laws that affect veterans and attends continuing legal education courses presented by NOVA. He has been helping veterans obtain disability benefits since 2007.
